This is the place for the work around the work: sketchbook pages, studio notes, revision problems, field notes, reading, and whatever else proves useful.
What belongs here
I do not intend this page to become another obligation disguised as a creative practice. It is meant to leave a record of what I am making, what I am learning, and what repeatedly refuses to work.
- Studio notes — paintings in progress, technical experiments, and lessons learned later than they should have been.
- Writing desk — revision notes, project updates, and the structural problems that follow a discovery draft home.
- Field notes — sketches and observations made away from my usual desk.
- Reading and play — books, comics, films, and games that keep finding their way back into the work.
The point is not to pretend the work arrives fully formed. It is to pay attention while it takes shape.
New entries will appear here as the site resumes. Earlier writing remains available in the Archive.
